Adam Family Motorsports Welcomes Hoker Trucking
Team Eyes Busy 2026 Campaign With Wild West Shootout as Season Opener
CHERRY, Ill. (Dec. 31, 2025) — When Adam Family Motorsports (AFM) unloads for its first event of the 2026 campaign, the Cherry, Illinois-based team will do so with a new sponsor riding along.
AFM is pleased to welcome Hoker Trucking as a marketing partner for the upcoming season. Owned and operated by Jeff and Penny Hoker, the Iowa-based transportation company is a family-owned business and a well-respected presence throughout Dirt Late Model racing.
“Jeff and Penny have done so much for our sport,” said AFM driver Daniel Adam. “They’ve supported countless teams over the years and have recently taken on a bigger role by promoting races in our area. To be added to the list of drivers they sponsor means the world to me. It’s truly an honor, and we’re very thankful for their support as we head into 2026.”
While the team continues to finalize its full 2026 schedule, several marquee events have already been confirmed, beginning with the Wild West Shootout, which returns to Arizona as the team’s season opener.
“We’re excited to kick off our season with the Wild West Shootout in Arizona — it will be our first trip there,” said team owner Joe Adam. “Along with select special events, we plan to follow the MARS tour this year. Matt [Curl] and Jonathan [Clayton] have done great things for regional racing in Illinois, and we’re looking forward to racing against that caliber of competition night in and night out.”
AFM’s 2026 schedule is shaping up to be a busy and competitive one. In addition to the Wild West Shootout, the team plans to compete in several major regional races, including the Nippy 50 at Maquoketa Speedway in Iowa—promoted by the Hoker family—and the Illinois 100 at Farmer City Raceway. The team will also take part in Illinois Speedweek in May.
Adam will make his first start of the season in the warmer Arizona climate while debuting a new Rocket XR2 Chassis powered by a Ford Cornett Racing Engine.
“Over the last three years, we’ve run both Rocket XR1 and Longhorn cars and have had great relationships with Mark Richards and Steve Baker at Rocket, as well as Steve Arpin at Longhorn,” Joe Adam said. “We made the switch from Rocket to Longhorn in August of 2024 and had immediate success, including a win at Springfield Raceway. I really like what Rocket has done with the XR2, and I want to try it at the beginning of the year to see if it fits Daniel’s driving style a little better.”
Daniel Adam has also confirmed his commitment to the MARS Late Model Championship powered by FK Rod Ends, with his sights set on capturing the $25,000 championship.
