Daniel Adam runner-up in weekly show at Spoon River Speedway

Sticking close to home over the weekend, Daniel Adam invaded Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) on Friday afternoon to compete in the weekly Super Late Model division.

Setting the bar in his qualifying group, Adam was victorious in his heat race and started the $2,000-to-win feature from the outside pole. Trading the lead a few times, Daniel settled for a runner-up finish after 30-laps. He trailed race-winner Jason Feger while Tommy Sheppard Jr. completed the podium.

Making the short trip to Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday for opening night, Daniel started the $2,500-to-win feature from the fourth-row and wound up just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
